A new monthly Romanian print magazine, Sci-Fi Magazin (yes, that's how it's spelled), will be translating and publishing my Aurora-winning short story "Scream Angel" later this year, likely in their April issue. Not that I'm counting (okay, actually I am), but this makes the twenty-seventh country in which I've been published, and the twenty-second language. Much fun for a uni-lingual Canuck.
For the writers out there, I'll be adding an entry for this market in the FML shortly. This will be the ninth publication for "Scream Angel" since it first appeared in the anthology Low Port in 2003.

Congrats!
Hey Doug, I'm happy you're finally published in Romania. Sci-Fi is the newest magazine there and is dedicated to Anglo-Saxon writers, so it's the best market for you to get introduced in Romania. I'll put a note on my blog about this and hope you'll be successful there as well.

Thanks!
Thanks, Costi! You'll have to give it a read when I get my contrib copy and tell me how good the translation is. And thanks for registering here. Once I finish my novel draft and get some time back, I'll be putting some content on the site for registered users.

My pleasure
It will be my pleasure to read the Romanian translation and give you feedback. I'll also try to find out who's doing the translation and see if it is from the well-known guys. Anyway, I've already posted a note on this on my blog, hoping it will boost your sells in Romania and create a good base of fans. Most of the fans there read a lot in English, so it is possible after they'll like Scream Angel to search your work in English. And good luck with the novel. I'll read what you'll publish here.

Translation
Great! Don't know when I'll get the contrib copies, but if I get them before Ad Astra, I'll bring a copy. Else, I'll scan and email it to you. In Rome right now and for the week (so I'm closer to Romania than normal).
